HRLT First Birthday Giveaway with Soulflower India

UPDATE: This Giveaway is now closed!

Honest Reviews and Lifestyle Tips recently completed one year of transforming lives through sharing reviews and lifestyle tips. This past one year has been a great learning experience for me too, not only on an intellectual level, but also on the emotional and personal front. Many of my blog readers shared their pains, sufferings, problems and concerns with me and that has made me forget my own painful life behind.

Before this blog happened, I was very reserved. But with more interactions with fabulous and warm people like you around me, I have opened up and have learnt to acknowledge the truth of my life and stand more confident to face the world. Thank you EVERY ONE of you, who joined me in this journey towards a better and happier life, whatever 'happiness' means to each of you in your own way.

I have discovered better skin and hair care products in the past few years, and recently discovered Soulflower, a brand that pioneers in organic spa products from the land of Spas and massages: Thailand! Soulflower products include 100 per cent SLS free vegetarian soaps, aroma massage oils, bath salts, essential oils, carrier oils, salt scrubs, body milks and other aromatherapy and Spa@home products. This means you can now have a relaxing and rejuvenating spa experience at the comfort of your home at affordable prices.

Soulflower spa essentials are made from hand-picked fresh vegetables, fruits, herbal and medicinal plants, using some of the ancient remedies. Their website, Facebook page and live char help provide detailed information on using their products in the best possible way to improve your lifestyle. Soulflower's mission is "to fill everyone's life with aroma".

My Experience: Recently I am just in love with Soulflower Strawberry Body milk... The main reason of buying it was the name stawberry... I just love strawberry essence... and now not only the smell its hydrating power. It is truly a good product not only for me but for everybody. I am just waiting for my repurchase. . .

  3. hi..congratulations to you.
my first product from Soulflower was let your hair down shampoo bar. i mainly bought it because i was in search of an sls n sulphate free shampoo and i was impressed with the ingredients..my hair were much softer and it reduce my split ends to an extent also it added a instant bounce/volume which i really wanted for my hair..
after that i bought the hair conditioner bar which i still use and like..but the rose geranium bath salt is the best in terms of hydration and refreshment ..totally new for me and very unique. i like the smell..and those small thread like particles after putting the salt in water are so refreshing..i just wish i had a bathtub..hehe but never mind..
keep it up. i must say. :)

    1. Thanks for joining and for participating Reshma. I was eyeing the conditioner bar but hadn't read any reviews for it yet. Thanks for sharing your experience. And I have an equally good feedback on the shampoo bars. I received the Jasmine bath salt as a gift and yet to use it. I am already tempted after reading your feedback :) Yes, I too wish the same but they told me I can use it as a foot soak too. Would love to try the rose geranium salt in summers now.

    2. The conditioner bar is good but little expensive..but i bought it on a huge discount.. :) and i usually cut the bar in pieces and refrigerate it..i read the reviews online some said the shampoo bar does not lather that well and is drying..but then to i bought it..and have not experienced any drying effect..also it lathers well..but may be because i have normal scalp not too oily and dry.. though i am not used to bars but its good for those bad hair days.
now i am waiting for your reviews of the Soulflower products you bought recently.. will then indulge.:D
and i really like your blog.. true to its name honest reviews.
      keep it up..really.

      Delete
    3. Yes Reshma, even I felt 450 bucks was too high for the conditioner bar and I couldn't locate it during the 15% discount. Even I cut the bars but refrigeration is an awesome idea. Thank you :) I just stored mine in a plastic wrap inside a metal box. The shampoo bars are SLS free so lather mildly and people like lather for the pseudo 'clean feeling.' Because I am using an SLS free shampoo, I totally relate to your experience. I think it's more of a matter of getting used to. The review for the strawberry body milk is under 'Skin Care'. Going to review the soap bar and roll ons soon.

It is very important to pamper yourself once in a while at least, and bathing is the best time to indulge and pamper. Thanks again for sharing the product on your wishlist.

But I have heard good things about it from you and many other people. Headache Roll on is good and anxiety roll on smells even better and works for me. Tea tree and jojoba oils are on my wish list.

I have also used Soulflower thai spa secrets Jute Mini set which had a soap, Ocean Mineral bath salt, and Rose Germanium massage oil. I daily use bath salt and soap and when ever I get tired I just apply massage oil and just massage it over my knees and legs and it gives me immense relaxation.

I wish u luck for the success of ur blog...

I have liked both FB pages and also subscribed to ur blog via email shilpa.bindlish@gmail.com

I've been using Soulflower products since last an year or so.
My experience has been just wonderful with their products which are so thoughtfully created that people with extra skin-care concern don't hesitate buying them again n again.

Baby ur Skin soap had been my first purchase from soulflower india.while using it,i was a bit apprehensive due to my dry skin.but afterwards, my skin felt really cool,deeply-cleaned n completely nourished.I think the ingredients like cucumber, white clay n various pure oils have worked wonders on my skin. Now i regularly apply this soap without fear of getting itching or stretching skin. The most commendable point about this soap is that its goes well with all skin-types :)

I hv also used their massage oil n bath salt, but still on my next purchase list is Soulflower Hair Conditioner Bar..i wish to relive those old days when soap bars were used for head bath. I believe just like their other soaps CONDITIONER bar wud also work magic on my hair :)

Baby Your Skin soap is my first soap bar and I was also double minded while ordering as I also have dry to combination skin. But I have the same amazing experience as you and it actually treated an infection on my face. You know Shilpa, when I was a kid, there used to be a shampoo bar called Crowning Glory and these shampoo bars actually reminded me of those times like you said in a nostalgic way :) That's cute.

  18. Hi Gagan,
Happy first birthday! I hope to see this blog growing stronger day by day.
Also, thank you so much for introducing soulflower through this blog. I am always on the lookout for chemical-free products, and after browsing their website, I love the soulflower brand, even though I haven't used any of their products yet. I would really love to to try the conditioner bar, Baby Your Skin soap and the rose scented body milk. I have very dry skin and scalp, and from the reviews, the products seem to be effective.
I had completed all the other steps some days ago, but took longer to complete this final step, since I wanted to look at all the products before choosing one that I would like to try (or in my case, three!). Should I post the details of subscription here or do you already have them?

The body milk will give rich hydration to skin without any oiliness or stickiness. I had added rose to my cart but had removed at the last moment, thinking let me first try one and see how it is. The conditioner bar is a fav for many and for dry scalp, they had suggested Jojoba oil as a serum and applying a few drops in the roots. It's great for applying on the body and face too. I placed another small order and waiting for it. Thanks for participating and all the best for the giveaway!

    1. Thank you Niesha for your lovely wishes and for always supporting me. Body milks are great for indoors and night use to hydrate and repair skin (no SPF so I don't use outdoors). But I am amazed at the mositurization. Applied to chapped heels and it fixed them in 2 nights! mainly they were dehydrated. Gonna review the Baby My Skin soap so you can decide. Thanks for participating and all the best!

  21. My Favourite Product is SoulFlower's Lavender bath salt.I have been using it from so long.I like It's fragrance and the feel of salt in the water makes me think of oceans and seas.I love it so much that I feel like my shower is incomplete without it. It might feel a little greasy at first but use it with a good scrub soap or a glycerine one and you feel fresh & rejuvenated.:)

I have lavender essential oil which I have used in various ways but never tried any bath salt yet. I am sure it indeed must be a rejuvenating experience. And I had no idea that bath salts could feel a little oily too, thanks for telling that :) and all the best for the giveaway.

    1. Dear Koyeli, welcome to my blog family and thanks for participating. I would love to know your friend's name through whom you discovered my blog :) I had bought a set of 5 roll ons which are still on an offer for Rs 250 for 5 roll ons. Have used the headache relief one and it does work. Even anxiety relief roll on is great and smells amazing too. But because of excessive heat and sweat, the roll on broke out my skin as I have an oily t-zone. These are great products to own, including essential oils like tea tree.

  27. Hi Gaganpreet,

Great show...loved this brand when I first saw it in Hypercity.
I personally found home decor products interesting and my wife has found Argan oil excellent for dry skin and hair. I have also used Reed diffuser with Lavender. It smells very nice and gives a refreshing fragrance to my room.

I would love to try other products (soaps, essential oils, etc) especially rosehip oil in near future.

    1. Thanks for participating Bhavin and finally it is great to hear the review on other spa products. Thanks a lot for sharing this. I have also recently ordered Argan oil as Jojoba felt a little oily for summers. And I happened to notice the diffuser a few days ago, I am sure it is a great product to own like you mentioned. Rosehip oil has the highest content of Vitamin C.

    1. Thanks for participating Shweta. I LOVE the aroma and taste of lemongrass and was actually checking out a lemongrass soap two days ago. I am sure it would be a soothing massage oil. Even Orange and ylang ylang smell great for mood upliftment and de-stressing. Great product you chose. I have tried only one massage oil (mini bottle) they had sent as a gift in my order and the moment you apply it to tired legs, it works like magic.

  29. Hey Gaganpreet, I have only heard but never used any Soulflower product (even though have long ‘liked’ its Facebook Page) and yes, it looks like I have certainly missed out on the good thing, but not anymore. Browsing through the website was like an ‘Open Sesame’ to a glorious realm, where spoiled for choice, I could not zero in on any one product that I would want. Since I cannot get them all at one go, I simply opt for Aroma Bath Salt Ocean Blue; it’s very color is so inviting that I can only conjecture on what the actual usage would be like! The azure hue is calming to the senses on first sight itself; where, I dream of having a spa of my own, relaxing in luxuriant exuberance at will. The very words kiwi and lemon are kind of rejuvenating having a reassuring effect even while tantalizing the senses. Using this would be taking bath to another level altogether which perhaps can be better described only after actually going through it; where bathing would no longer be a chore, but surreal experience. And the promise of this freshness being carried beyond the closed doors of the bathroom is what intrigues me most.

  31. Congrats! Gagan this is just the beginning. Very warm wishes to your fantabulous blog on its first anniversary.
I haven't used any product from soulflower yet. But after going through the site I am interested to buy jojoba oil. First thing that I liked about it was that it is cold pressed and other one is its allrounder personality. One little bottle can work wonders for hair and skin as well. Can't wait to use it, will place order shortly.

    1. THANKS again Gagan for your true and auspicious wishes and for always boosting my morale. You are right about cold pressed oils. This is the best method to extract oil while preserving all its goodness. I have ordered recently and have used just once. It made my hair very soft when I washed my hair the next day. Would be great for winters too.

Thanks for participating and Good Luck for the giveaway!

  32. Hey Gagan,
I just recently bought my first product from Soulflower. It's the Tea Tree oil. I have acne-prone oily skin. I just got it a few days back in my online shopping haul from greenngood.com, so can't say much. But I surfed and found out that it does wonders for my skin types. I use it at night with the Rustic Art Aloevera Gel. It is anti-septic and helps in improving acne-prone skin, I heard. In the past, I had tried out the Oriflame one, but it neither did any good, nor any harm. So this time, just keeping my fingers crossed! I hope it works!

    1. Hi Ray, thanks for participating and for sharing your experience. I had checked out some Rustic Art products a month ago and found them steeply priced. And the products are not all natural. Soulflower team had suggested to dilute Tea tree oil in a few drops of water and apply on the acne prone area/ acne with a cotton bud/Q-tip. Try it out that way. Also, email me and I can share an ubtan recipe which can be helpful to you.

All the best for the giveaway!

    1. Dear Mehek, I totally understand as I also participate in very less giveaways. Most are makeup giveaways and I like personal care stuff. This is why I tried to keep the criteria as simple as possible.

Thanks for bringing to my notice. It seems I mixed up your last name with Deepika Mehta's and later realized that your name was not in the reminders. Had asked Shilpa to email you on the 27th and she did but due to heavy rains her internet connection broke and her message didn't reach you :)

But it was great knowing so many new people including you!
